Introduction to Contemporary Religious Film

The following essays and video illustrate the representation of religious icons in global films. The screen shots we are analyzing show the different types of editing and camera techniques present in these very different films. Although it is easy to understand the influence of religion, we aim to study just exactly why, by gaining a better understanding of both the films and the religions that affect them. Doing so will take us one step closer to realizing the true splendor of international film.
